National Credit Union consists of the following:
Committees
At FNCU we have formed several committees formed to
represent you on different matters. The Committees are as follows:
- Credit Committee
The Credit Committee of FNCU comprises five (5) members along with two
(2) alternate members and is elected at the annual general meeting. The
Credit Committee is the motor of the Credit Union. The primary function
of this Committee is to approve loans in accordance with the policy as
set forth by the Board of Directors and to assist members in solving
their financial problems. It is also the responsibility of the Credit
Committee to safeguard the assets of the FNCU by making wise loan decisions.
The committee meets weekly to conduct its business and serves for a period
of one (1) year.

Supervisory Committee
The Supervisory
Committee of FNCU comprises of three members along
with two (2) alternate members elected from and by the members
at the Annual General Meeting of the Credit Union. This Committee
is authorised by the Co-operative Societies Regulations and
by the byelaws of the Credit Union to act as the 'eyes and
ears' of the Credit Union because it helps to safeguard the
assets and interests of the general membership.
Its purpose is to provide a system of internal control which
will assure the members at all times that their funds are
being honestly and correctly handled and that the business
of the Credit Union is being carried on by the directors, officers
and committee members according to law, the bye-laws and
the authority bestowed upon them by the membership. They serve
for a period of one (1) year.

- Education Committee
Unlike the Credit and Supervisory Committees of FNCU,
the Education Committee is appointed rather than elected. This
Committee is a subcommittee of the Board and is charged with the
responsibility of keeping the membership, potential members and
the general public constantly informed of services offered by the
Credit Union. The Committee Comprises five (5) members appointed
by the Board and has the power of co-opting other members to assist
it in the discharge of its duties. The Education Committee is also
responsible for hosting seminars and lecture sessions for the benefit
of the general membership and potential members. The Board appoints
the Education Committee annually.
