These are small grants between \u00a32,000 and \u00a310,000, with a total of \u00a3180,000 available, and large grants between \u00a310,000 and \u00a320,000, with a total of \u00a340,000 available.<\/p>\n<p>Cllr Tom Ross, Greater Manchester lead for Waste and Recycling, said: \u201cThe Renew Community Fund aims to increase the number of projects providing repair and sharing services to make it easier to get your items repaired or to buy something second hand.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The Renew Community Fund aims to increase the number of projects providing repair and sharing services\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Projects that have been awarded funding in previous years include the Manchester Library of Things in Levenshulme, where residents can borrow power tools and household equipment rather than buy their own.<\/p>\n<p>Other projects set up include bike repair, laptop repair, repair caf\u00e9s, and school uniform redistribution services, which enable families to share school uniforms with families in need.<\/p>\n<p>The fund is available to groups in Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford.
